Daytona Beach, FL –Â Officials at Daytona International Speedway are expecting to make history this weekend with a different kind of racing at the track.
The World Center of Racing alongside ChallengeFamily and Case Imagine is said to bring the all new ChallengeDaytona to the Daytona International Speedway.
According to DIS, the speedway and its 29-acre Lake Lloyd will be the center of all of the action for the main middle-distance triathlon scheduled on Sunday (December 9th) as well as a number of different events.
Some of the other events include a middle-distance duathlon, split between biking and running. An aquabike race which will include 1.2 miles of swimming and 3.1 miles of running. A 5k Run/Walk, 10k run, as well as a Pitstop Challenge where competitors race against the clock to change two bike tires.
A junior challenge for kids is also scheduled, which includes a 50-meter swim and a 0.6 mile run.
