Daytona Beach, FL - A new study from the US News & World Report lists Daytona Beach among some of the best places to live in the country, and ranks the World’s Most Famous Beach higher than Miami. Out of 150 metropolitan areas ranked by the US News & World Report, Daytona Beach came in at number 69, beating out Miami, which came in at 128th, but coming in below Orlando, which was ranked at number 60. According to the publication’s profile on the city, Daytona was highlighted as a popular vacation spot for anyone from anglers, to race fans, to people just simply looking for a beach. Rounding out Daytona’s many outdoor activities, according to the publication, is the city’s multiple theaters, performing arts centers, markets, and colleges. The US News & World Report additionally mentioned that residents have an advantage of living in the Daytona Beach area, as adjoining towns and communities like Port Orange, South Daytona, Ponce Inlet, Ormond Beach, and Holly Hill, just to name a few, provide a range of living options at various prices. Daytona was also ranked at number 7 when it comes to the 25 fastest growing areas in the US, 15th out of the 150 best places to retire, and 15th out of 25 safest places to live. Daytona was also ranked at number 17 on the US News & World Report’s 25 most expensive places to live in the US.
