24-year-old DeLand resident Nathan Lebeau was sentenced on Monday to 15 years in prison for the drug overdose death of 23-year-old Deltona resident Victoria Greene. Lebeau pleaded no contest to charges of manslaughter, fentanyl possession with intent to sell or deliver, and fentanyl trafficking from four to fourteen grams. Lebeau was also charged with possession of a Schedule II hallucinogen with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful usage of a two-way communication device. Greene’s death occurred on January 29th, 2024 after she overdosed on drugs. Messages on her Instagram account appeared to indicate she’d arranged to purchase oxycodone and Xanax pills from Lebeau just days earlier. She had been found unresponsive by her domestic partner that day at a duplex in Deltona. Despite the efforts of Deltona Fire Rescue and the Volusia Sheriff’s Office to administer life-saving care including the use of NARCAN, Greene was pronounced dead at an AdventHealth hospital in Orange City. The very next day, on January 30th, Lebeau was arrested by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office on seven criminal charges. He’s remained in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail ever since. At the time of his arrest, detectives reportedly found pills that appeared to be oxycodone, but which tested positive for the presence of fentanyl. The State Attorney’s Office in Florida’s 7th Judicial Circuit credits Assistant State Attorney Daniel Megaro for his prosecution of the case, which was overseen by Judge Karen A. Foxman. They also credit the Volusia Sheriff’s Office Overdose Task Force for their investigation and collection of evidence against Lebeau.
