DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Daytona Beach Police Department confirmed on Sunday that they had responded to a homicide in town early Saturday morning. They were alerted at around 1:46 am to a body at 622 Clark Street. Officers located an adult man on-scene with life-threatening stab wounds. He died while still at the scene, with police declaring his death a homicide. The man’s next of kin were notified, and a person of interest has been identified and located. Police say that the killing was an isolated incident. They have not said that their person of interest has been arrested – just located. As of Monday morning the DBPD’s investigation is still ongoing with little other information available. An update will presumably be issued when more details become available.
