A Holly Hill man was arrested this week for driving through a fence at the Daytona Beach International Airport. 58-year-old Bryan Parker was booked on nine criminal charges and denied bond following the bizarre incident. On Wednesday at around 4:23 p.m., the Volusia Sheriff’s Office said that a vehicle drove through the perimeter gate at the international terminal of the Daytona Beach International Airport. The car, identified as a blue Ford Mustang, is then said to have driven onto the airfield. Parker is said to have entered two unoccupied planes. The first personnel to reach Parker were airport operations staff and security for nearby Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. An operations technician reportedly got to Parker and sat him down on the tailgate of his truck. He escaped, however, and is said to have ran to another plane before being apprehended again and handcuffed. Both the VSO Domestic Security Unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) responded to the airport. Parker was arrested and interviewed by law enforcement after being taken into custody. Parker was said to be highly intoxicated when he was arrested. He was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on Thursday, charged with aircraft piracy, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, airport trespassing, two counts of indecent exposure, criminal mischief over $1,000, driving under the influence with property damage, refusal to submit to DUI testing, and DUI third offense within ten years.
